For some actors, success just comes naturally. In the case of Kristen Bell, it was not as much an issue of "if" she would to be a celebrity - but when. Born in Detroit Michigan, her first stage experiences led her to study at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. She was quickly hired  to play the role of Becky Thatcher in a Broadway production of  "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" in New York City.

Kristen Bell was hired for small supporting roles in features like "Polish Wedding" with Claire Danes, and "Pootie Tang". She returned to Broadway for a part in the 2002 revival of "The Crucible", playing alongside super star stage and screen actors Liam Neeson and Laura Linney.  In 2003, Bell impressed television audiences with a brilliant performance in the made for television adventure drama "The King and Queen of Moonlight Bay" before next playing the memorable part of a young girl struggling to raise her three stepbrothers after their drug addict mother is sent to jail in "Gracie's Choice".

Bell was then cast by David Mamet's for his 2004 thriller project "Spartan" working with Val Kilmer. She was not about to walk away from television projects, and following appearances on "Everwood" and "Deadwood", she took the starring role as a new age Nancy Drew on UPN's "Veronica Mars".

"Veronica Mars" was the smash hit breakout starring television role that made Kristen Bell famous and an official Hollywood celebrity. After her best friend is murdered and her father is removed as county sheriff, Veronica Mars dedicates her life to cracking the toughest mysteries in the affluent town of Neptune. It drew audiences by the millions and put her face, and name on the Hollywood map. She signed a sixty-four episode deal witch was unheard of at the time for television serials.

Her next project was a performance in the Showtime musical take-off of "Reefer Madness", But what really started to make her famous was her performances in the college comedy "Fifty Pills" and the thriller "Deepwater". These movies would at least help to expand her feature film experience - even though the movies were only a moderate success - with some critics saying there were too few big name celebrities to help draw attention to them.

With "Veronica Mars" still pulling in remarkable ratings by mid year 2006, Kristen took a vacation from television for a lead part in the Wes Craven produced thriller "Pulse", an Americanized remake of Japanese director Kiyoshi Kurosawa's 2001 horror. Next was the thriller "Roman" (2006) about a lonely young man's obsession with his neighbor that gets the best of him, ending in murder and a cover-up. Then she lent her voice talents in her first animated family adventure "Flatland: The Movie" (2007) based on Edwin Abott's book "Flatland", this is an animated film about geometric characters living in a two-dimensional world.

Bell started 2008 in the funny summer blockbuster "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" (2008) with Mila Kunis and Jason Bateman, about a devastated Peter, who takes a Hawaii vacation in order to deal with the recent break-up with his TV star girlfriend, Sarah, little does he know Sarah's traveling to the same resort as her ex. Not being able to stay away from television, Kristen then signed a fifteen episode deal for ""Gossip Girl" (2008) about privileged young teenagers who attend an elite private school in New York City. Based on Alloy Entertainment's book series.

Kristen then signed for a returning role on the television fantasy drama ""Heroes" (2008-) starring a young and adorable Hayden Panettiere. Heroes has been nominated for two Golden Globes and was the latest runaway hit for the network. The series tells the stories of ordinary individuals who discover that they have superhuman abilities, and also explores how these people adapt to the changes these abilities bring, and their roles in preventing catastrophes and saving humanity.

Next was the strange action comedy "Fanboys" (2008) where "Star Wars" fans travel to Skywalker Ranch to steal an early copy of "Episode I: The Phantom Menace". Next Kristen Bell starred alongside Meg Ryan and Justin Long in the comedy "Serious Moonlight" (2008) where a high-powered attorney duct tapes her adulterous husband to the toilet - right before their home is invaded by burglars. She then had a starring role alongside Rachael Leigh Cook in the dramatic "Antique" (2008) about the intersection of eight lives in the city of Echo Park, Los Angeles, California as they all search for the strength to break free from the pains of their past.

Kristen wrapped her year with the romantic comedy "When in Rome" (2009) with Danny DeVito and Jon Heder, where in New York City, a young art curator finds herself aggressively pursued by a band of wannabe lovers after she steals coins from a Roman fountain.
