Niki Taylor is one of the world's most famous supermodels, known around the world simply as Niki. At age fourteen, she landed some test shoots when her parents submitted some pictures of her dressed up in lipstick and eye shadow. During the review, a fashion photographer noticed her and a year later, she became the youngest model ever to appear on the cover of Vogue Magazine. At age seventeen, she became the youngest person ever to sign a contract with Cover Girl - for $5 million dollars.
She has appeared on over 200 magazine covers, and has become one of the world's top supermodels, with her beauty, body, and charm. She has been seen on runways all over Europe and he United States modeling designer clothing. She is one of few supermodels who has been able to stay away from the problems of drugs and alcohol. When not on photo shoots, she is at home, caring for her children. She enjoys spending her time outdoors on the beach, jet skiing, hydro sliding and diving. Even though she has staff to help around the house and with her kids, she still spends most of her time caring for her children. Her parents, Barbara and Ken, live in Pembroke Pines, Florida, where she grew up. She has two sisters, Krissy, who passed away at the age of 17, and 25 year old Joelle. She is the CEO of her own company, "Niki Inc.", and is a model with IMG Models of New York. She earns $20,000 a day for her work, and is rumored to bring in over $8 million per year. She has substituted for Cindy Crawford as guest host of MTV's "House of Style", and has done some reporting for "Lifestyles of the Rich And Famous." She says, "Maybe I could do some acting in the near future. Something where I am not a model or a prostitute or a bimbo -- something challenging."
She does not have a favorite designer, and prefers to shop at the local
Gap. She enjoys Levi's, sweatpants, and sundresses.
Smoking used to be a bad habit of hers, but she quit when she became pregnant. Her motto is, "Stick to the basics, hold on to your family and friends - they will never go out of fashion." The big break that shot her to the big-time world of sexy celebrity status was winning a spot in the 1997 and 1999 "Sports Illustrated" swimsuit issue. Another big break was a ten episode deal in the starring role of the smash-hot television reality show "Make Me a Supermodel" (2008-), where over a 12-week period, fourteen hopefuls live together in a New York City loft and explore friendships, romance and naked ambition while undergoing a series of creative challenges designed to test their professional modeling potential. This series explores what it takes to turn the exceptionally good-looking into the king or queen of the catwalk.
