The floppy hair, shy and incredibly popular Robert Pattinson seemed to explode into the mainstream during his 2010 season projects. Every girl screamed for him and every guy wanted to know his secrets.
But this somewhat reclusive super star gained a cult following with late night talk show host Jimmy Fallon, and thousands of blogs across the internet.
Born May 13 1985 in London England, the shy 25 year old actor is also an avid guitar and piano player while sporting his trademark messy hair.
Pattinson got his first big Hollywood break when he was hired and cast in the role of Cedric Diggory in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" (2005). Robert's passion for acting was soon rewarded with a follow-up role in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" (2007) before trying his hand at comedy in the starring role as Art in "How To Be" (2008), about a young man who has an existential crisis and convinces a Canadian self-help guru to come to London and become his personal life coach.
Robert Pattinson hot the ball out of the park in late 2008 when he took the role of Edward Cullen in the runaway smash hit "Twilight", where A teenage girl risks everything when she falls in love with a vampire. The show won an MTV Music Award, Kids Choice Ward, Peoples Choice Award, and was nominated for several Grammys.
In 2009, Pattinson returned to the Twilight saga in "New Moon" (2009) alongside superstars Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and Billy Burke, where the next chapter continued the franchise. "New Moon" continues after Bella recovers from a vampire attack and looks to celebrate her birthday with Edward and his family. But an accident during the party results in Bella's blood being shed, a sight that proves too intense for the Cullens, who decide to leave the town of Forks, Washington for Bella and Edward's sake.
By 2010, Pattinson was a true Hollywood celebrity. He tried to break free from his vampire ways when he accepted the starring role as Tyler in the romantic comedy "Remember Me" (2010), with Pierce Brosnan, Chris Cooper, and Emilie de Ravin. The film centered on two lovers whose newfound relationship is threatened as they try to cope with their respective family tragedies.
But once a vampire always a vampire, and in 2010 Robert return for his third Twilight role in "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse", where Love struck teenager Bella must choose between her vampire boyfriend Edward and werewolf Jacob. 
In another attempt to distance himself from the Twilight trilogy, Pattinson took
the starring role of Georges Duroy in the dramatic "Bel Ami" (2011), also starring
Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci in this chronicle of a young man's rise to power in Paris by his manipulation of the city's most influential and wealthy women.
Next, Pattinson tried his has at western fare in the starring role of Phineas in "Unbound Captives" (2011), with
Rachel Weisz and Hugh Jackman about A widowed woman is rescued by a frontiersman and the two search for her kidnapped children.
Pattinson again took a starring role in 2011 in the dramatic "Water For Elephants" with
Reese Witherspoon, about a veterinary student who abandons his studies after his parents are killed and joins a traveling circus as their vet.
