Justin Bieber is the runaway YouTube sensation that stormed the world by releasing his self-produced videos onto the internet. Within months, his videos had gone viral and millions of fans had joined his social networking sites. 

His original intentions were to simply keep his friends and family up to date on his activities, but the world was going to make him a super star.

After pop singer Usher heard Bieber's music, he signed him to a recording contract, as well as marketed and helped create a buzz about the young entertainer.

Bieber was born March 1, 1994 in Stratford, Ontario Canada, and was raised by his divorced mother, Pattie Mallette. At the age of twelve he entered a local singing competition and came in second place. He also learned how to play the piano, drums, and guitar. 

During 2007, Justin started posting videos on YouTube and an executive of So So Def Records found them and introduced Bieber to singer and songwriter Usher. After auditioning, Bieber was offered a recording deal with Island Records. The young singer moved to Atlanta Georgia with his mother in 2008 to start his spectacular career.

Bieber's first album "My World," was released in the United States and Canada in November 2009 and featured vocals from Usher, who also appeared in the music video for the song "One Time". 

The young star has also appeared on numerous talk shows and award shows including "Grammy Awards", "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve", "The Wendy Williams Show", "Chelsea Lately", The Ellen DeGeneres Show", "Good Morning America", "Today", and the 2009 "MTV Video Music Awards".

His popularity grew so fast that during a 2009-scheduled appearance at a New York mall so many teenage girls showed up that police shut the event down. An employee of the record company was arrested for interfering with officers after a fan yelled they saw Bieber inside an Abercrombie Kids store. 

After the tragic 2010 earthquake in Haiti, Bieber was asked to participate in the remake of Michael Jackson's award winning song "We Are The World". In fact, Justin sings the very first line of the updated song.

Justin Bieber's second album, Part II of "My World" is set for a March 2010 release.
